Man Accused Of Running Pregnant Ex-Girlfriend Off Braintree Road

Police said a Boston man crashed into his ex-girlfriend's car three times and ran her off Route 3 in Braintree.

BRAINTREE, MA — A Boston man was held without bail after crashing into his pregnant ex-girlfriend's car three times and running her off Route 3 in Braintree, according to prosecutors. Marlon Alexander, 26, was charged with armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery on a pregnant victim, assault and battery on a family member, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, leaving the scene of property damage, negligent driving and a marked lanes violation.

State Police told the Patriot Ledger Alexander followed his ex-girlfriend after seeing her at a gas station in Randolph, around 8 p.m., last Wednesday. Police said the woman tried to get away by driving onto Interstate 93, exiting in Quincy, and then heading down Route 3 southbound. Alexander crashed three times into the woman's car, and sent her car off the side of the highway in Braintree, according to police. Police said he drove away before the ambulance arrived, but was arrested later that night.

Alexander will be held without bail, pending a dangerousness hearing and is scheduled to return to court Aug. 16.
