Man Convicted Of Trying To Stab Braintree MBTA Worker Sentenced
Police said an MBTA worker tried intervening an armed robbery, but then the suspect chased him and tried to stab him.

BRAINTREE, MA — A man convicted of robbing a man at knifepoint and trying to stab an MBTA worker was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison.
Kesone Jone, 23, was sentenced Thursday in Dedham District Court, the Patriot Ledger reported. Jones pleaded guilty to charges including armed robbery, armed assault with intent to murder, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
In July 2015, around 1:30 a.m., Jones was at the Braintree train station. Police told the Patriot Leger Jones pulled a knife on a man who was waiting for a ride and demanded his wallet, phone, and house keys. An MBTA employee tried to intervene, which is when police said Jones chased the MBTA worker and tried to stab him him several times.
