Today is Monday, Sept. 28. Here's what Patch has been covering south of Boston and on Cape Cod today.
Superintendent Meg Mayo-Brown isn't giving any reasons why Barnstable High School Principal Patrick Clark was placed on administrative leave. Mayo-Brown emailed parents Monday morning to announce the news and said Assistant Superintendent Kristen Harmon will take over the high school as the "administrator in charge."
"As we transition BHS to hybrid, in-person learning this week, schedules will continue to settle and students and educators will continue to build relationships and engage in robust, rigorous learning opportunities," Mayo-Brown said in the email.

A former Cape Cod school swim coach, who has also worked in Newton and Belmont, was released on $1,000 bail after he was arrested and accused of taking inappropriate photographs of teenage girls.
James Saidnawey, 29, of Harwich, was charged last week with two counts of posing or exhibiting a child in a state of nudity or sexual contact, Eastham Police Department officials said in a statement. Police said additional charges may be filed.
It's not clear if the children depicted in the photos are students or athletes. Saidnawey, who is now on leave, was hired this summer as a 4th grade teacher at Eastham Elementary School in Nauset Regional School District. Before he was hired there, he worked as a 5th grade teacher in Newton and coached the Newton North High School girls swim team for a season.
Barnstable police said James Ledoux, 23, was passed out when he dragged a police officer with his car when his foot slipped off the break.

Large Weekend Party Puts Milton School Officials On High Alert
Milton school officials are being forced to contemplate how district students are taught after reports of a large gathering of students Friday night near Presidents Golf Course reached school officials.
According to a letter sent to district parents on Sunday, between 50 and 100 students attended a party near the Milton-Quincy line less than two weeks after Milton schools opened up for the school year offering an every-other-day hybrid learning model.
"To hear that parents and guardians were dropping their children off to go up to this place to party or to, you know, convene in large gatherings is very disappointing," Interim Superintendent James Jette told WCVB on Saturday.
Jette did not immediately return an email to Patch seeking comment Monday morning.
