Mayor: No Legal Action Over Hobrook Transfer Station
The town will not sue Holbrook over a proposed transfer station, but mitigation is still on the table.

BRAINTREE, MA — Despite concerns over traffic, Mayor Joseph Sullivan recently said he does not expect to take legal action against a proposed transfer station in Holbrook.
The Holbrook Board of Health approved the site plan for the station Nov. 9, but still needs the approval of the town's planning board, zoning board of appeals, and conservation commission.
Sullivan told the Enterprise that he will seek mitigation for the town, which could include a ban on truck traffic on South Street or a limit on the size of the trucks that access the station from Braintree. Sullivan added that the town is willing to accept Holbrook's trash and recycling, as it does with Randolph.
