Mayor Sullivan Apologizes for Snow Dumped in Resident's Front Yard

The mayor of Braintree is apologizing for the actions of a snow removal crew hired by the town.

Mayor Joseph Sullivan apologized to a Braintree resident late last week after a snow clearing crew started piling snow in her front yard.

Resident Carmela Sofia told WHDH that crews were treating her front yard like a snow farm, telling her that there was nowhere else to put the snow when she questioned the crew’s actions.

Mayor Sullivan said the decision was inappropriate and not a good decision.

The city was able to remove the snow that was dumped in the front yard, with Mayor Sullivan personally apologizing to Sofia. The crew that placed the snow in her front yard no longer works for Braintree according to Sullivan.
