MBTA Workers Honored for Stopping Runaway Red Line Train
The workers received a citation from Gov. Charlie Baker.

Boston, MA - Two transit employees were honored at the Statehouse Monday for helping stop a train that left Braintree unmanned.
Mark McNeill and Ainsley “Lee” Saunders both received citations from Gov. Charlie Baker according to WHDH. Both work in the MBTA’s operations control center.
After the Red Line train left Braintree without an operator Thursday morning, workers were able to stop the train just past the North Quincy by shutting down the third rail and making sure other trains were out of the way.
