New Hotel Coming to Forbes Road

BRAINTREE, MA — A 140-room hotel will replace an office building on Forbes Road.

This week, the Board of Licensing Commissioners approved the common victualler and liquor licenses for the Residence Inn by Marriott, to be located at 170 Forbes Rd. The building replaces an office building that has been there for about 40 years.

The hotel will be owned and operated by KW Hotel. This will be their 15th hotel, according to attorney Frank Marinelli.

In addition to the hotel, a 5,800 sq. ft. restaurant that was approved last year will be constructed.

The hotel will join the Hyatt as the two hotels in the Forbes Road area.

The project has been approved by the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Planning Board.

Construction is expected to be completed by the summer 2017.
