$18,600 Goes From Braintree Residents to Obama Campaign

The FEC database breaks down presidential, congressional and other campaign donations by state and city.

Leading up to the latest Sept. 30 election finance reporting deadline, Braintree residents donated thousands of dollars to the campaign of President Barack Obama, especially in small amounts of $15, $35 and even $8.

Overall, Braintree residents have donated $18,608 this election cycle to Obama. Since the last filing deadline at the end of June, those living in 02184 gave $10,390.

Among the most prolific donors are local author James D. Livingston ($2,500) and UMass professor Sharon Penney Livingston ($1,700). Others include teachers, retired folks, an MIT lab staff member, a Boston Globe sales rep, a self-employed writer, Comcast employee and restauranteur.
