“My father loved being a firefighter. It was in his blood and he was so proud to serve the town of Braintree. When he retired, he worked full time up until he was 80 working for Fire Extinguisher Services. He couldn’t take himself away from anything related to firefighting.”
A funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, according to an online obituary.
Linscott was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Braintree and was a Navy veteran, serving in Vietnam.
