OUIs Prompt Braintree Police Reminder to Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend Responsibly

Memorial Day weekend may be known for many things: barbecues; trips to the beach; the unofficial start of summer; and of course, paying tribute to those who have sacrificed for this nation. But the one thing the Braintree Police Department does not want to be added to the list is drunk driving.

As of Friday night, police in Braintree have already arrested two drivers for operating under the influence, prompting the department to remind residents to celebrate the weekend responsibly and get a designated driver.

For those looking to honor those who have served in Braintree, the town will hold their Memorial Day Ceremony at Blue Hill Cemetery at 11 a.m. Sunday morning.
