Petersen Pool Hearing Again Delayed
The project is scheduled to go back in front of the Planning Board in October.

BRAINTREE, MA — By this point, the Petersen Pool groundbreaking was suppose to happen, according to the original timeline, but that is not the case.
A continuation of a public hearing for the project was scheduled for Tuesday night's Planning Board meeting, but it will be continued to Oct. 18 at the request of the applicant, according to the meeting agenda. The hearing has not been heard since July and has been continued multiple times since.
The Petersen Pool project calls for a new facility that includes two hockey rinks, a swimming pool, and an indoor turf. Back in February, Mayor Joseph Sullivan said the groundbreaking was set for the summer if all remained on schedule. Construction is likely to take 12-18 months.
