Petersen Pool Project Returns To Planning Board Next Week
Changes have been made to the decades-long effort to bring a community pool to Braintree.

BRAINTREE, MA — More changes are coming to the Petersen Pool project on the campus of Braintree High School.
In response to concerns about the location of the building, new plans show the building closer to the high school parking lot, according to the Patriot Ledger.
What was a roughly 157,000-square-foot building has been reworked into one that is about half the size. While the two rinks and pool remain, the indoor turf field is gone.

One of the rinks comes with bleachers and a higher capacity is designed to host big games and MIAA tournament events.
The project goes back in front of the planning board July 11. The board is expected to move to the conditions phase.
