Planning Board Could Take Up Petersen Pool In July

The planning board is hoping to take up the issue again in July.

BRAINTREE, MA — It will be at least another month before the Petersen Pool project is taken up again by the planning board.

Planning board Chairman Robert Harnais recently told the Patriot Ledger that the board is waiting for an independent engineering review of the plans and hopes they can move on to the conditions phase in July.

Earlier plans for the building on the campus of Braintree High School called for two ice rinks, a pool, and indoor turf field. The building has since been cut in half and the turf field has been removed.
