Planning Board Approves Digital Billboard Near Route 93

A digital billboard will be going up next to Route 93.

Tuesday night, the planning board voted to allow Lamar Central Outdoor LLC to construct their billboard at 340 Wood Rd. according to the Patriot Ledger.

A second application for a digital billboard near the Braintree split on Route 93 and Route 3 was denied due to safety concerns while a third application for 236-240 Wood Rd. was withdrawn.

A zoning change allowing billboards along the highway was approved by the town council in March.

Lamar will pay the town $1.5 million over 25 years for the billboard.
