Police Investigating Stabbing at Braintree Village Playground

Police say the man was assaulted and stabbed while walking through the playground area of Braintree Village Friday morning.

Police say a 27-year-old male from Dorchester was stabbed and attacked in Braintree Friday morning.

On Oct. 9, the man was walking through the playground area of Braintree Village when he was jumped by three men and stabbed in the thigh according to Braintree Police Chief Russ Jenkins.

The man suffered a non-life threatening injury and was transported to South Shore Hospital for treatment.

The man initially denied knowing his attackers, but later admitted to police that he knew who attacked him and would deal with it on his own.

This is not the first stabbing incident for the victim. In April, the man told officers that he two or three men jumped out of a car and assaulted and stabbed him while walking down Union Street from the T station to Braintree Village.
