Police Log: Thousands in Sunglasses Stolen
Braintree police arrested a Quincy man last week who had allegedly taken sunglasses from the plaza.

A Quincy man was arrested for allegedly stealing four sunglasses worth $1,590 from the last Thursday.
Jonathan C. Tallent, 27, was charged with larcency over $250 after a Braintree officer, who knew him from a previous incident and knew his license was suspended, saw Tallent acting suspisciously in the plaza parking lot, Deputy Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement.
"Tallent was observed making two trips into the mall and later drove off with
a 39-year-old Milton woman who joined him at the car," Jenkins said. He was stopped and arrested on Common Street for the suspended license.

Officers searched Tallent's car and found the four sunglasses allegedly taken from the Sunglass Hut.
"Officers later learned that the Milton woman was trespassed
from the mall for an earlier shoplifting arrest," Jenkins said. She will be summonsed to court for trespassing after notice. The woman was not named because she has yet to be charged with a crime.
