Police Say Speed Was Factor in Fatal Braintree Crash

Police say speed did play a role in a fatal car crash on Quincy Avenue Sunday night.

CBS Boston reports that Daniel Karimi, 36, with addresses in both Brockton and Washington State, was driving between 90-100 mph on the street when he lost control of his vehicle.

Karimi’s vehicle hit another car carrying two women, which was forced into two parked cars at a nearby restaurant. Afterwards, Karimi’s car spun out and hit another vehicle.

The three victims were hospitalized while Karimi was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other drivers will not face charges.
