Pregnant Woman Attacked At Super Bowl Party: Police

A Boston man is accused of assaulting several people, including a pregnant woman at a Super Bowl party in Braintree.

BRAINTREE, MA — A Boston man was arrested after police said he attacked several people, including a pregnant woman at a Super Bowl party.

Sasquan Gorman, 27, was charged with assault and battery on a pregnant woman, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, along with three additional assault and battery charges. Police told the Patriot Ledger Gorman attended a Super Bowl party on Sunday at an apartment on McCusker Drive. According to police, Gorman, who had been drinking, was involved in an argument about race. The argument turned violent, and the suspect attacked several people, police said. According to the police report, one of the people Gorman attacked was a pregnant woman, he grabbed by the throat.

Gorman was arraigned in Quincy District Court on Monday and is being held on $1,500 bail. He is scheduled back in court on Feb. 27.
