President of MassDrive Insurance Group Named 2016 Woman of FIRE

Award honors women for achieving excellence in traditionally male-dominated industries

MassDrive Insurance Group, one of the fastest growing digital insurance agencies in the country, today announced that president Jean-Marie Lovett has been named a Woman of FIRE by Banker & Tradesman. Women of FIRE is an annual award that recognizes the best and the brightest female players in the Massachusetts FIRE (finance, insurance and real estate) sectors.

“We received many exceptional nominations for this year’s Women of FIRE, but I am pleased to announce that our search has finally reached a conclusion. We have narrowed it down to a deserving group of women who are rising to the top of this industry and achieving excellence on a day-to-day basis. They are pioneers, philanthropists and innovators, and their powerful influence is being felt on the keystone sectors of the U.S. economy,” said Timothy M. Warren Jr., CEO of The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman.

Lovett joined MassDrive as president at its founding in 2009 and is responsible for its operations and tactical marketing. Under Lovett’s leadership, MassDrive and its national brand, MyLifeProtected, have consistently grown year over year, engaged superior distribution partners, and secured numerous insurance company appointments. Lovett has driven this growth by focusing on four core principles: operational efficiency, investment in technology, a focus on affinity marketing and a commitment to attracting millennial talent to the insurance industry.

Lovett is a graduate of Colgate University and Kenan Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. Through her alumni network, Lovett serves as a mentor to those young in their career, particularly women. She is actively involved in the Women at Colgate group that hosts a professor-led book group each year. At MassDrive, Lovett has worked closely with the YMCA Training Inc. program, bringing numerous trainees into the company as interns to learn the insurance business. She is a member of the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents (MAIA).

“We’re extremely proud to have Jean-Marie recognized among this elite group of nominees,” said Bill Suneson, co-founder and CEO of MassDrive Insurance Group. “This award is a testament to Jean-Marie’s tireless work that had enabled both MassDrive and our national business, MyLifeProtected, to grow at such an impressive rate.”
