Quincy Open Heritage Day Moved Due To Possible Nor'easter

Quincy, MA— With a stormy weekend on the horizon, the Town of Quincy is moving Open Heritage Day, which was originally set for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festivities will now be held on October 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to a post on the City of Quincy Facebook page.

Residents and visitors will get to learn more about the city’s history through free tours and self-guided experiences. The change is due to a Nor’easter that is expected to hit New England starting Friday.

Meteorologists say the storm will bring heavy rain, damaging wind gusts, and coastal erosion.

To keep residents safe, town officials decided to postpone the festivities. Admission to Heritage Day is free.
