Report Says Braintree Teachers Making the Grade
Find out how Braintree educators did on the state's Educator Evaluation report.

BRAINTREE, MA - Teachers in Braintree are making the grade according to data from the state.
Released in late February by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, the 2014-15 Educator Evaluation report for the Braintree Public Schools shows that 6.9 percent of the teachers were graded exemplary and 89.5 percent were proficient. Only 3 percent need improvement and 0.6 percent received a grade of unsatisfactory.
Overall, all 493 of 494 Braintree educators were evaluated.

During the 2014-2015 school year, districts were required to implement educator evaluation systems aligned to the Educator Evaluation framework with all educators district-wide, according to the DESE. Each educator received an overall Performance Rating based on multiple categories of evidence, including evaluator judgments based on observations and artifacts of professional practice; evidence of fulfillment of both professional practice and student learning goals; and multiple measures of student learning, growth, and achievement.
