I am asking my fellow Republican and Unenrolled voters living in Abington, Holbrook, Quincy, Rockland and Precincts 3A, 3B, 4A, 4B, 5A, 5B, 6A & 6B of Braintree to please vote for Stephen Tougas to serve as your next Republican State Committee Man in the Norfolk & Plymouth District in the March 3 primary election.

Steve Tougas is the only candidate of the five men running who continually puts service to our party and its constitutionalist conservative values over self-enrichment. Steve Tougas demonstrated service over self through donating nearly $8,200 of his own money to candidates and party organizations. Moreover, Steve has an impressive volunteer record with Tank the Automatic Gas Tax, End Common Core, Keep Massachusetts Safe, Stop Taxpayer Funding of Abortion, the Massachusetts Republican Assembly, the Massachusetts Faith & Freedom Coalition Affiliate and his success in thwarting the Quincy Sanctuary City initiative.

Steve Tougas’s opposition to higher and more burdensome taxes goes beyond a few cursory Facebook posts about Charlie Baker’s TCI Tax. Steve collected thousands of signatures to Tank the Automatic Gas Tax in 2014, which helped save Massachusetts motorists billions of dollars at the pump. Steve also worked to stop the proliferation of tolls on the Mass Turnpike to all the major highways. This kind of servant-leadership is a refreshing contrast to the behavior of the incumbent Matt Sisk, who was caught plagiarizing while in college and who was forced to resign his state job for grossly unethical behavior.

Steve Tougas is also the only candidate running who is a full-platform fiscal, role of government and moral values conservative. Whereas the incumbent Matt Sisk demonstrated his hostility to moral values conservatives by voting against the MassGOP Platform due to its inclusion of socially conservative language, Steve embraces the full-platform, particularly the traditional moral values and pro-life party platform planks and welcomes pro-lifers and traditional moral values conservatives into the Republican Party’s big tent.

Matt Sisk has been serving as State Committee Man since 2004 and in that time, the number of registered Republicans in his district has declined by 17%, which includes a 7.7% decline in his hometown of Braintree and a 40% decline in Quincy, the district’s largest community. Steve Tougas will work tirelessly day and night to reverse this sadly sobering trend.

The most important responsibility for a State Committee Man is fundraising for candidates. The incumbent Matt Sisk works for the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office, and as such state law prohibits all appointed federal, state, county and municipal employees such as Sisk from raising money for candidates and party organizations. In contrast, Steve Tougas works as a software engineer in the Dreaded Private Sector, which means he has the ability to directly raise money for candidates, as well as develop digital resources to enable candidates and causes to raise money.

Please vote for Steve Tougas to serve as your next Republican State Committee Man in the Norfolk & Plymouth District on Tuesday, March 3. Steve Tougas’s commitment to constitutionalist conservative values and servant-leadership mindset is what we need to unite our party in order to break the hard-left Democrat Party’s yoke over our Commonwealth.
