Sisk Announces Campaign Leadership Team

BRAINTREE, MA - From the Matthew Sisk Campaign for Town Council: Matthew Sisk, Braintree’s former representative on the Blue Hills Regional School Committee and a former Town Meeting Member, is honored to announce the leadership team for his campaign to succeed retiring Councilor Dan Clifford.

Marta Googins, a lifelong Braintree resident and longtime chair of the Braintree Housing Authority and former town meeting member, will serve as Campaign Chair. She is active in many local sports, charities and organizations including the Braintree Son’s of Italy Lodge, the Marge Crispin Center and she sits on the Board of Directors for the Braintree Chamber of Commerce.

Kate Naughton, a member of the Braintree School Committee since 2013, will serve as Campaign Manager. She serves as Chair of the School Committee’s Policy Subcommittee and is the committee’s representative on the School Department’s Incremental Committee. She also serves as the committee’s representative on Braintree’s Alliance for Safe and Healthy Youth and is a past volunteer for the Braintree Fund for Education, Highlands School PTO and Boy Scout Troop 138 of Saint Clare’s Parish.

Cheryl Edgar will serve as Campaign Treasurer. She is a longtime Braintree resident where she raised both of her children who are graduates of Braintree High School. Cheryl is a former educator with over 30 years of classroom teaching and school administration experience. She is active in Sustainable Braintree and the Braintree Historical Society.
