South Middle School to Celebrate Career of Retiring Principal
The school will celebrate the career of retiring principal Ed McDonough and officially name the auditorium after him.

Outgoing South Middle School principal Ed McDonough will be honored next month when the school’s auditorium is named after him.
On June 16, the South Middle School auditorium will officially become the McDonough Auditorium. Mayor Joeseph Sullivan announced the date during Friday’s South Middle School Memorial Day ceremony.
“There is no one who truly cares about you more than Mr. McDonough and he’s demonstrated that,” Sullivan told the school’s students. “He cares about all of you every day, but also reaches out to the parents, the teachers, and the community.”
