South Shore Children's Chorus announces 501-c3 status!

After only 20 months of operation, SSCC has been non-profit approved!

The South Shore Children's Chorus is proud to announce that it is now officially a public charity with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Revenue Code. Contributions donated to SSCC are fully tax-deductible, and SSCC is also eligible to apply for government and foundation grants, which will further our ability to support student scholarships for our programming and administrative costs.
Stay tuned for information about how to contribute and support SSCC by liking us on Facebook. In the meantime, here is some information about the impact that SSCC has already had on the community in our 20 months of existence!

-SSCC has granted over $6000 in student scholarships.
-SSCC has served over 100 children through our programming.
-SSCC has 5 part-time staff members, all of which have strong ties to the South Shore community.
-SSCC has served students from 14 different towns: Braintree, Quincy, Milton, Stoughton, Scituate, Bridgewater, Randolph, Rockland, Weymouth, Sharon, Brockton, Needham, Hingham, and Holbrook.

Visit our website to learn more and register to sing with our growing organization today! No audition is required to participate, and need-based tuition assistance is available for those who apply. We offer three ensembles for singers:

Training Choir (K-3rd Grade)
Tuesdays at Braintree High School
5:00pm – 6:00pm (1st-3rd)
5:00pm – 5:30pm (Kindergarten)
Full Year Tuition (Sept-June)
$500 (1st – 3rd)
$250 (Kindergarten)

Intermediate Choir (4th-7th Grades)
Wednesdays at Braintree High School
Music Theory I* (4th & 5th Grade): 5:00pm-5:30pm
Rehearsal (4th-7th Grade): 5:30pm-6:30pm
Music Theory II* (6th & 7th Grade): 6:30pm-7:30pm
*All singers must participate in a Music Theory Class.
Full Year Tuition (Sept-June): $550
Register for Intermediate Choir

Advanced Choir (8th-12th Grades)
Sundays at Quincy Point Congregational Church
Sight Singing I*: 5:00pm-5:30pm
Rehearsal: 5:45pm-7:30pm
Sight Singing II*: 7:45pm-8:15pm
*All singers must participate in a sight-singing class. Singers are placed in a class level as the Director sees fit.
Full Year Tuition (Sept-June): $625
