South Shore Plaza Altercation Was Planned, 1 Injured: Police
A mall employee suffered minor injuries to their neck, but police are still working to confirm whether or not they were stabbed.
BRAINTREE, MA — Braintree police clarified over the weekend that it remains unclear whether a reported stabbing at South Shore Plaza was indeed a stabbing.
A 21-year-old mall employee from Dorchester suffered a minor injury to her neck during a fight at the mall just before 6 p.m. on Friday, but police said they've yet to confirm how it happened.
They did say that the altercation was planned between the two parties, who knew each other and met at the mall with the intention of fighting. Police noted that the fight was isolated to just those two people and that there was never a threat to the public or other patrons at the mall.
