South Shore Plaza Donates $5,000 To Flaherty School In Braintree
The school plans to use the money to build a new front entrance walkway and to freshen the landscaping around the building.

BRAINTREE, MA — The South Shore Plaza donated $5,000 to Flaherty Elementary School in Braintree as part of its Simon School rewards program. The rewards program ran through the holiday shopping season and offered shoppers the opportunity to engage in a friendly competition for their school of choice after visiting South Shore Plaza.
Four schools received donations from the mall with Flaherty Elementary earning the largest donation. The check was presented to the school on Feb. 14.
The school plans to use the money to build a new front entrance walkway and to freshen the landscaping around the building.

"Simon School Rewards was an exciting new initiative and part of our ongoing commitment to supporting our local community," mall Marketing Director Ashley Feldhousesaid in a statement. "The program was a great way for the community and South Shore Plaza to collaborate and support local schools."
