Other businesses scheduled to open at the retail complex across from the South Shore Plaza in Braintree include Qdoba Mexican Grill, Jared Jewelers and The Vitamin Shoppe.
Starbucks is planning to open a corporate store in Braintree this Friday, though the opening will be dependent on whether company representatives are able to finalize paperwork for its food license in time.
The store's general manager and a Starbucks consultant requested the permit from the Board of License Commissioners on Tuesday. They hit a roadblock when Board Chair Joe Powers noted several missing items or documentation that needed revision in their application.
"You have a lot of work to do, procedurally," Powers said.

After giving the two men time during the meeting to work on the issues, the board took the matter up again and approved the license, contingent on updates including a business certificate and a certificate of good standing from the state being filed with the license coordinator before the store opening.
Dan Brennan, a licensing consultant for Starbucks, also said the Braintree location would hold off on outdoor seating until it received the OK from the planning department on the extra parking that would require.
