State Senator Joyce Will Leave Leadership Positions if Asked
The Milton Democrat that represents parts of Braintree said in a letter he will step down from the positions if asked.

State Senator Brian Joyce will step down from his leadership positions if asked.
In a letter to Senate President Stan Rosenberg, Joyce also says he will cooperate with the state ethics commission if asked according to NECN.
On Sunday, the Boston Globe released a story that detailed how Joyce has used his public position to advance his private law practice.

Sources told the Globe that Rosenberg and his leadership team are split when it comes to dealing with Joyce. In the Globe story, it is alleged that Joyce sought legal work from communities that rely on the state house for funding while rarely disclosing clients to the Ethics Commission, which is a requirement.
