Study: Braintree is the 2nd Most Irish Town in Massachusetts

If St. Patrick’s Day seemed a little more festive in Braintree, that might be due to the fact the only Massachusetts town more Irish is Weymouth.

According to a study by NerdWallet.com using U.S. Census Bureau data, Braintree has the second highest percentage of residents with Irish heritage with 42.4 percent.

The South Shore was well represented on the list, with Weymouth (42.9 percent), Abington (42.4 percent), Hull (41.4 percent), and Milton (39.7 percent) making the top 10.
