SWEET TEA AND SODA

One thing that I've learned since moving here is that when they say "sweet" tea, YIKES, they mean "sweet".  The first time I tasted sweet tea, I think I instantly got 3 cavities.  I've since learned that if you ask them to mix half sweet and half unsweetened, it's not too bad.  Of course, I bring my Truvia with me and order unsweetend tea, and sweeten it myself.

On the other hand, if you like soda, Pepsi, Coke, etc. don't be surprised if it tastes awful unless they are serving it directly from the can.  Many of the restaurants use the syrup and then use their own water (which taste like swamp water) and when you take that first gulp, you instantly spew it out of your mouth.  I remember my first time ordering Diet Pepsi, I sent it back twice and finally said, just bring me water.  When they brought me the water, then I realized what it was.  My mother-in-law did the same thing the first time she was here.    I've lived here over 20 years and I've never had a drink of water from the faucet.    Even my dogs get RO water.
