Teaching Adaptive Golf Techniques to Disabled Residents

On Saturday, July 20, the Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital together with Northeast Passage hosted, Adaptive Golf at the Braintree Municipal Golf Course.

The event gave individuals with disabilities the opportunity to learn adaptive techniques and use adaptive equipment to pursue golf basics.

Lorraine Ferrara of Braintree (pictured above) was one of the attendees. Lorraine has Multiple Sclerosis and has never played golf but decided she would give this a try.

In the photo, Lorraine is shown using a golf cart that allows her to stay seated while swinging the club. A wonderful chance for Lorraine to see that she can continue to enjoy everyday activities and get the most out of life.

Adaptations that have been designed to help an individual who may have difficulty with their grasp. The glove shown in the other photo above helps to assist with grip.
