The Braintree-based private schools both placed on the list, with Thayer Academy taking 40th and Archbishop Williams 77th

Phillips Academy of Andover took the top spot in the state and the entire country.

Overall, Thayer received an A Niche Grade and Archbishop Williams received a B.

According to Niche.com, the ranking is “based on statistics, student and parent reviews, and expert insights. Ranking factors include SAT/ACT scores, the quality of colleges that students consider, student-teacher ratio, student and parent reviews, and more.”
