Two Braintree Companies in Globe Top 100

The list ranks the best performing companies based in Massachusetts.

A medical device and industrial holding company, both based in Braintree, made the Globe Top 100, an annual ranking of the best performing firms in Massachusetts.

Haemonetics Corp. on Wood Road came in at 66, down slightly from 61 last year. The company makes devices for blood manufacturing and earned $828.7 million in revenue in 2012, according to the Boston Globe's list.

Haemonetics announced earlier this month that it would close its Braintree manufacturing plant and move its disposable products division to Mexico, the Boston Business Journal reported. The move over the next year and a half will mean 320 job cuts.
