Braintree baseball is one step closer to the finals of the MIAA Super 8 baseball tournament.Thursday, the Wamps beat St. John's of Shrewsbury 7-3 to advance in the winner's bracket of the tournament.The win places the team two victories away from an appearance in the championship game.The Super 8 tournament is a double-elimination style tournament involving the the top eight ranked teams in the state.The Wamps will play Bridgewater-Raynham in Brockton on June 8 at 7 p.m.
