What You Need to Know About the Braintree Town Election

Tuesday is Election Day in Braintree and that means a trip to the polls for local residents.

While Mayor Joseph Sullivan is unopposed in his reelection bid, there are four candidates in the race for town council. Charles Ryan, Shannon Hume, and Sean Powers are all seeking reelection for their at-large seats while Braintree School Committee Chairman David Ringius is the only challenger.

Charles Kokoros has no opponent in his bid for re-election as the District 1 councilor, nor do school committee members Thomas Devin, Kate Naughton, and Lisa Neger.

Below is what you need to know for Tuesday’s election.

Polling Hours

The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Locations

You may be wondering exactly where you will vote in Braintree. The Secretary of the Commonwealth has a tool which allows you to type in your address and find where (a school, church or government building) you can cast your ballot.
