UPDATE: Power Being Restored After Outage
Most of the town has power after a brief outage.

BRAINTREE, MA - A power outage hit Braintree Tuesday morning.
At 9:57 a.m., the Braintree Electric Light Department announced that they were working to resolve a widespread outage.

On the BELD Facebook page, residents noted that the traffic lights on Quincy Avenue are out and the South Shore Plaza had no power.
The Braintree Police Department said they were aware of the outage and asked residents to not call 911.

Town Council President said a feed line from Eversouce was tripped, causing the outage, with power being restored to most of the city by 10:28 a.m., according to the Braintree Police Department.
