Woman Accused Of Running Over Boyfriend With Car: Patch PM

A Hull woman was indicted by a Norfolk County grand jury after prosecutors said she ran over her boyfriend with a car in Braintree.
Nichole Lachance was charged with armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on a family or household member, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and witness or police intimidation.

Police said Lachance struck her boyfriend with her car in the parking lot of the Braintree AMC movie theater, according to the Patriot Ledger. The victim suffered life-threatening injuries including a broken pelvis, two broken legs and a punctured lung, according to a police report filed with the court.

Coronavirus Temporarily Closes 2 Fit Factory Gyms
Two Fit Factory gyms, one in Foxborough and the other in North Attleboro, temporarily closed Thursday after a member told the company they tested positive for the coronavirus.
Deep cleaning was done at the gyms before they were able to reopen. Following the cleaning, the Foxborough location reopened at 5 a.m., Friday, and the North Attleboro gym reopened at 2 p.m., Thursday. But not all gym members received notification of the closing. Fit Factory also has locations in Kingston, Braintree and Berlin. Those gyms remained open.
2 In Stoughton Arrested In Connection To Fatal Shooting Of Teen
Stoughton police have arrested two more people in connection to the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old Randolph boy.
Christian Vines was shot and killed on July 21 while sitting in his car outside the Walnut Park complex on Jones Terrace. In August, police arrested a juvenile at the Wrentham Outlets and charged the teen with murder. The juvenile was indicted Friday. Police said two more people were also taken into custody in connection to the killing. Alyssa Joyette, 19, of Brockton, and Tyleke Curry, 22, of Stoughton, were charged with accessory after the fact to a murder.
Addiction Treatment Center With Cape Ties Faces Fraud Lawsuit
Attorney General Maura Healey filed a lawsuit against a national addiction treatment center chain with locations in Falmouth and Hyannis.
The lawsuit accused CleanSlate Centers and former company owner Dr. Amanda Louise Wilson of submitting tens of millions of dollars in false claims to MassHealth for unnecessary urine drug tests. The suit also accuses CleanSlate of violating federal and state self-referral laws by sending tests to the company's own lab in Holyoke.
CleanSlate also operates centers in Athol, Boston, West Springfield and Worcester. A spokesperson said the company is disappointed with the attorney general's lawsuit and do not believe there was any wrongdoing.
Norfolk County Sheriff Creates Remote Learning Center For Kids
The Norfolk County Sheriff's office and Braintree officials have collaborated to open a remote learning center for students throughout the county.
The remote learning center can house up to 10 children per day and allows parents who cannot work from home the opportunity to drop their child off to a safe and supervised location for learning. The center will provide WI-FI and organized activities outside during breaks. There will also be regular cleaning and sanitizing of the space.
