Woman Found Dead In Pond Meadow Park
The Norfolk County District Attorney's Office said the death doesn't seem to be caused by foul play.
BRAINTREE, MA — A woman was found dead in a Braintree park on Monday, the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office confirmed to Patch.
Mulain Chin, 79, of Weymouth, was discovered in shallow water near a small bridge at Pond Meadow Park on Monday.
Braintree police notified the DA's Office around 2:30 p.m. of an ongoing investigation, and a state police detective attached to the DA's Office joined Braintree police at the scene.

Officials said Chin went to the park with a family member so that each could walk. When she did not arrive at an expected location, that family member alerted a Braintree police officer who was in the park, leading to the discovery of Chin's body.
Officials said the circumstances "do not immediately suggest foul play," but more will be known once the office receives information from the medical examiner.
