Woman Retrieves Lost Jewelry in Braintree

The three pieces were found at a Braintree trash station.

BRAINTREE, MA - A Norwell woman accidentally threw away her wedding ring, a pendant, and her grandmother’s ring but got it back thanks to some workers at a trash station in Braintree.

Cecelia Callahan told WBZ that while cleaning three pieces of diamond jewelry, she unintentionally put them in the trash and took it outside.

By the time she realized her error, the trash had been collected. Luckily, the workers at the Braintree Waste Management Station made sure she was able to dig through the garbage to find the rings.

Callahan was successful in finding the jewelry, searching through over five tons of trash in the process.
