BROCKTON, MA — A man was shot to death on Clinton Street Sunday night, according to reports.

"Brockton police are investigating a deadly shooting on Clinton Street," WCVB reported.

A "witness who called 911 said he heard the gunfire from inside his car, then saw the victim approach his window," according to 7 News Boston.

"Video from the scene shows part of Clinton Street appears to be shut down as authorities work the crime scene," per 10 Boston. "There are several homes nearby."

"When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds," Boston 25 reported. "A short time later, the victim died."

Darren Duarte, the director of community outreach for the Brockton Police Department, deferred to the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office.

"The Plymouth County DA’s Office is leading the investigation and handles any press inquiries," Duarte said in an email.

The Plymouth County District Attorney's Office referred a call for more information to Beth Stone. Stone failed to respond to messages.
