2 Shot, 1 Killed In Brockton Gunfights: Police

It's not known at this time if the two shootings are connected, and so far, no arrests have been made.

BROCKTON, MA — Gunshots were exchanged in the city Saturday morning, killing one man and injuring another.

Around 1:47 a.m., police were called to Main Street for a report of gunshots. Police told the Brockton Enterprise someone was shooting from a car at a nearby house then drove away. Shortly after, ShotSpotter, the city’s electronic gunfire detection system,altered officers to several gunshots in the same area. Police found shell casings and several bullet holes in a house on Grand Street. Less than an hour later Brockton Hospital alerted police that a man was treated for gunshots and was dropped off by a white van. The man's injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.

Around 5 a.m., police were called after a man was found on Main Street, near the former Main Dragon restaurant suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries. Police have not released the man's identity. No arrests have been made.
