Authorities said the suspects sent thousands of doses of ectasy and ketamine throughout the country in exchange for Bitcoin.

STOUGHTON, MA — Three people from Brockton were arrested Wednesday after being accused of trafficking thousands of doses of ecstasy and ketamine through the mail. Allante Pires, 22, Steven McCall, 23, and Binh Le, 22, were all charged with trafficking 200 grams or more of ecstasy and ketamine. Le faces additional charges of distributing a class B substance and a second count of trafficking ecstasy.

The investigation began when the Postal Inspection Service told State Police and the Norfolk District Attorney's Office about drugs potentially being shipped through the mail, District Attorney Michael Morrissey said in a statement.

“This began as an investigation into whether this organization was utilizing the United States mail to send shipments of illegal drugs, some purchased using cryptocurrency and on the ‘dark web,’ to locations nationally,” Morrissey said.
