Police Attempting To Identify Suspects From Brockton World Cup Crowd Chaos
Police are investigating three separate shootings that left two wounded.

BROCKTON, MA — The Brockton police are attempting to identify suspects from three separate shootings following Cape Verde's World Cup match Sunday night.
The police have asked for the assistance of the public in identifying the individuals.
The chaos Sunday night, which in addition to the shootings included "blocked roadways, heavy traffic congestion, fireworks, and physical fights," according to a media release, "began as large crowds gathered in the downtown area following Cape Verde's World Cup match."

Officers responded to the first shooting on Main Street near Hervey Street shortly before 8 p.m.

"The shooting occurred as large crowds gathered downtown following a FIFA World Cup game," according to a media release. "One person suffered a gunshot wound during the incident."
Then, about 10:40 p.m., someone else was shot at the 633 Warren Ave. Gulf gas station, the release said.
"Investigators have also obtained surveillance video showing the suspect walking through the Gulf Gas Station property shortly before the shooting," the release said. "The suspect is seen wearing a white jacket with dark trim, dark pants, dark shoes, and a dark knit cap."
Another suspect was linked to a shooting near the corner of Forest Avenue and Main Street, according to the release.
"The suspect is seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with a large design on the front, light-colored pants, and dark sneakers with yellow soles," the release said.
The release urged anyone who recognizes the men or has information in the shooting to call the Brockton police at 508-897-5170.
