9 Guns Seized From 3 Tennessee Men: Brockton Police

Police said they also seized 525 rounds of ammunition in the suspects' car.

BROCKTON, MA — Three Tennessee men were arrested Saturday after officers seized nine guns and high capacity magazines, according to police.

Christopher Smart, 18, Domenick Everett Barshaw, 18, and Theodore Eugene Baskette, 20, pleaded not guilty during their arraignments Monday in Brockton District Court to various firearm charges.

Around 11 a.m., police were called to Longworth Avenue after a witness told officers the men had a black bag on top of the roof of their car, and there were guns inside the bag, the Brockton Enterprise reported. Police said they saw a handgun, other weapons, and face masks throughout the car. After searching the bag and car, police said they found nine guns, as well as high capacity magazines. In total, 525 round of ammunition were seized from the vehicle, police said.

According to police, none of the men had a license to carry firearms. It's not clear at this time why the men were in Massachusetts. All three men are being held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on Thursday.
