Brewster Ambulance Driver At Fault In Crash: Police
The 48-year-old ambulance driver was given a citation for failing to stop at a traffic light, Brockton police said.
BROCKTON, MA — A Brewster ambulance driver was found to be at fault following a crash which sent three people to the hospital early Tuesday morning, according to police. Just after 12:30 a.m., emergency personnel were called to the intersection of North Main and Battle streets for reports of an ambulance and Honda mini van colliding. Both the ambulance and van sustained heavy front-end damage, police told WHDH.
Witnesses told police the van was driving on North Main Street and had a green light. The ambulance, travelling on Battles Street failed to stop at the intersection and collided with the mini van, police said.
The 30-year-old driver of the van was taken to Brockton Hospital with minor injuries, police told the Brockton Enterprise. Two paramedics riding in the ambulance were brought to Good Samaritan Medical Center with minor injuries.
