State Police trooper cited in Brockton crash that caused injuries (nbcboston.com) — A Massachusetts State Police cruiser and another car collided on Belmont Street in Brockton on Aug. 10, injuring the trooper and two people in the other vehicle and briefly shutting down the road. Investigators say preliminary findings led to the trooper being cited for negligent operation and speeding, while the Bristol County district attorney's office continues its review. Authorities have not released updated conditions for those hurt.

Marshals say the suspect was arrested in Alaska and will be returned to Massachusetts, emphasizing that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
