The Plymouth County District Attorney's Office said Andrew Jorge was found guilty of weapon and burglary charges in the 2016 home invasion.
BROCKTON, MA — A Plymouth Superior Court judge sentenced a Brockton man to five years in prison on Wednesday for his role in a 2016 Hanson home invasion. The Plymouth County District Attorney's Office sentenced Andrew Jorge, 34, after a jury found him guilty last week on five charges connected to the home invasion following a two-day trial and three hours of deliberation.
Hanson police responded to a report of a break-in at an apartment on Main Street on Sept. 29, 2016 where a woman said two men wearing hoods smashed a rear window and invaded her apartment while she was home. The woman fled the apartment and called 911 from a neighbor's house.
Police found the two suspects fleeing the apartment. Police said Jorge was found in possession of a black crowbar, latex gloves and a semi-automatic handgun. Police said the gun was loaded with a bullet in the chamber.
