Brockton Police Investigating Fatal Hit And Run

Police are investigating a fatal hit and run that left a Brockton woman dead on Tuesday night.

BROCKTON, MA—Massachusetts State Police and Brockton Police are investigating a fatal hit and run that left a woman dead on Tuesday night.

According to a press release from Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz, Brockton Police received a 911 call at approximately 6:16 p.m. reporting a motor vehicle versus pedestrian crash at 259 Pleasant Street.

Brockton Police and emergency medical personnel responded and found Marie Rose Bienaime, 72, of Brockton unresponsive. She was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Massachusetts State Police and Brockton Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the vehicle involved in the hit and run.

"As a result of the ongoing investigation by members of the Massachusetts State Police and Brockton Police, detectives have identified a motor vehicle from surveillance video near to the scene of the crash," said the press release. "The car is green and has a broken tail light."
