Brockton Police Seize Drugs, Guns In North Warren Avenue Bust
Brockton police find an AK-47, three handguns and cocaine during the arrest of a man suspected of a carjacking in Stoughton.

BROCKTON, MA —The pursuit of a carjacking suspect from Stoughton led to the seizure of an AK-47, three handguns and cocaine on North Warren Avenue in Brockton Thursday morning. Brockton police said they were executing a warrant related to the carjacking when they arrested two men who jumped out windows attempting to escape and found the drugs and guns.
Police seized a loaded AK-47 assault rifle, a .40-caliber handgun, a 9mm pistol and a .25-caliber gun, four large-capacity ammunition magazines, 8.1 grams of cocaine and other items used to package and sell illegal drugs.
Police said Kristopher Depina, 25, of Mattapan was charged with carjacking out of Stoughton, as well as two counts of unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful carrying for a firearm, three counts of possession of a large capacity firearm, three counts of unlawful possession of a large-capacity feeding device, possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug and conspiracy to violate drug laws. He was turned over to Stoughton police on the carjacking charge.

Police also charged Jason Anthony Ortiz, 21, of Rhode Island with possession a firearm without an FID card, unlawful carrying of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug.
